General Admission: All Ages Welcome, 18+ ID required for liquor service
VIP and Licensed Areas: Must be 18 years of age or older – No Minors – Government issued photo ID required for entry (see below)
Free admission for children five years of age and under, accompanied by parent or legal guardian.
You can purchase tickets for SONiC Boom through our website or through Ticketmaster.ca – we cannot guarantee the authenticity of any tickets purchased through a third party, so avoid potential disappointment and please purchase your tickets only through our channels.
For a limited time, you can purchase your tickets through our system using the layaway payment option, which will appear at the checkout phase of your transaction. Rather than pay for the total price, you can set up automatic payments through the summer.
If you chose DIGITAL PRINT PASS, your tickets will be sent out starting on August 19
Please present your ticket at the gates to obtain a wristband, which you will need to wear during the festival. More details below under WRISTBAND REDEMPTION.

VIP ticket receives priority entry, private VIP area with dedicated food and beverage options, souvenir laminate & lanyard, and private washrooms. VIP is age 18+ only.
Any Canadian government issued driver’s license or identification card, provided that it contains a photograph and date of birth. We will also accept any valid government issued passport containing a photography and date of birth. Please note: Temporary paper drivers licenses, birth certificates, school issued, or expired identification cards will not be accepted.
All ticket holders will exchange their ticket for a wristband at the gates – this wristband must be worn by you for the duration of the festival, and cannot be exchanged or given to anyone else. Please treat yours with extreme care – lost, stolen, tampered with and/or confiscated wristbands will not be replaced.
Advance ticket purchasers will be able to beat the festival rush and pick up their wristbands ahead of the event on Friday September 2nd at the SONiC Boom box office at Borden Park, between 12 NOON and 7 PM. You will also be able to collect your wristband during the festival, if you choose.
To pick up your wristband, you must present your ticket (digital or print at home), and if you are picking up a will call order, you will need your photo ID (as outlined above) and the credit card used to purchase.
If you chose will call and need to have someone else pick up your ticket and wristband, you must supply that person a signed letter of authorization, plus a photocopy of your ID and credit card used to purchase the ticket.
You may pick up multiple wristbands, as long as you have the tickets, or follow the will call instructions above for each purchase.

Comp ticket holders and guest list can only redeem their wristbands during the festival – the wristbands are placed immediately onto recipients.
SONiC Boom at Borden Park is an accessible event – a viewing deck will be provided for those with mobility issues. However, please be aware that Borden Park is a green space, susceptible to natural challenges. There is no reserved handicapped parking at the venue, but parking options are available – public transit is strongly encouraged (see below). Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have specific questions.
As Borden Park is an outdoor venue the event will continue rain or shine – with the exception of extreme weather conditions that may present a potential threat to the safety of the public. Festival staff and safety officials monitor all conditions closely and we make fan safety our primary focus.
Be A Good Neighbour & Pitch In
Borden Park is a valued city park, and a public resource. It is also located in near a residential neighborhood. We ask all of our patrons to please show respect to the residents and the park.
Put your compostables, recyclables and garbage in appropriate bins provided; pinch and pocket cigarette butts. Help us keep Borden Park clean!
When passing through residential areas outside of the festival site, be aware that your voices and actions will carry – please conduct yourselves accordingly!
Event Entry / Security
Early arrival is highly recommended. Gates open are at 11;30 AM– so get to the venue early and enjoy yourself! Headliners start early. Only a small amount of personal food in a soft container (ie plastic or cloth) will be allowed, but it will be subject to search. For a list of prohibited items please scroll down. Upon entry, you will be searched. All items in your pockets, purses, & bags will be thoroughly examined. Edmonton Police and event security have the right to refuse entry to anyone.
In order to expedite entry, we cannot allow Re-entry/Ins & Outs. Please be prepared to stay the duration of the day. We will have everything you need available on-site.
Although our scanners will read Digital Print Passes from your phone, we recommend that you print out a physical paper copy.
We are here to provide a secure, safe, & positive experience for all those in attendance. The EMS Station will clearly be marked. If you or anyone you knows requires immediate medical attention – please inform event staff / security or proceed to the EMS Station.

This is an outdoor event with permitted smoking areas.
We encourage festival attendees to take public transit to the festival. Please note that paid parking is available at Northlands, and street parking in the nearby residential area is strongly discouraged (see below).
The park is served by Edmonton Transit LRT at Coliseum Station, and various bus routes. Visit the Edmonton Transit System website HERE for schedules and trip planning.

Patrons will have access to paid parking at Northlands, but available space will not be guaranteed. Parking in the residential area is strongly discouraged, and may result in your vehicle being towed and impounded. If you choose to drive to SONiC BOOM, we strongly encourage car-pooling, and absolutely avoid drinking and driving. We recommend all patrons taking advantage Edmonton Transit running during the event. Again, please DO NOT DRINK & DRIVE!
